there is a lesson in everything
sometimes the most precious gift you can give someone else is to make them cry
(thanks Ria, your words made me cry this morning and I needed that so much)to mute our emotions was a way to survive
me and my siblings learned that from our mother.
we learned it so well
too wellindifference became an ally
parts of me rebelled, parts of me was strong, opinated, full of insight.
and the stronger I was, the more they rejected me.confusion
to do the right thing will only get me into trouble
to not care is the way to swing itand then they turned around and said I betrayed them by not caring
my heart knows she was only loooking for an excuse to erase me

I didn't mean to make you cry, but if it was a good cry then I am happy that you did. Crying can be a release and a way of healing. A part of letting go, being vulnerable.
Pain can keep us captive, when we start to let it go we become free.
This is not an easy road to take, it is often sometimes more painful than the pain itself, it is raw and real and often overwhelming, but in the long run it pays off.
I think you are one of the bravest people I know.

It is amazing how many of us kept our emotions in when we were young.
Indifference ... is a blessing and curse, to those who learn how to wield it. (Btw ... I love your screen name. Brilliant.)
@mr_faust - aww, thank you
@wherever_we_go - I know you didn't mean to make me cry. But genuine tenderness can melt the thickest ice.
I don't know about brave though. Life just insists on tossing me around.
@TheTheologiansCafe - that's social adaption, isn't it? Sometimes we adapt too much though, and that makes people less grounded and more high pitched instead
@Passionflwr86 - everything has two sides,,,
thank you, you've got a pretty neat screename too :)
